IT WON'T BE A SURPRISE TO YOU THAT I'M A SELF-CONFESSED PERFECTIONIST WITH HIGH STANDARDS - AND YOU SURPASSED ALL OF MY EXPECTATIONS

Jewish Hora Groom .jpg

ENTRANCE + THE HORA

Guest entrance - We like to play something interesting here to turn the heads of the guests, get them excited about what's to come. Say, 'Let Me Love You' by Mario, where they can sing and groove along, and also see that we're not just any wedding band.

Bride and Groom Entrance - Choose something energetic and audacious to bring that energy right up!

The Hora -  This can be up to 20 mins long. We start with the trad tunes like Hava Nagila & Siman Tov and ramp it up to your newer

bangers like Tel Aviv, Hevenu Shalom Alecheim!

DINNER

Starters. After a couple of speeches/national anthems, we'd usually bring the vibe to romantic/chilled performances with pared back lineups on rotation, and as the course goes on, start to slowly ramp it up, until the first plate is empty where we bring in a few sing-a-longs.

After Starters. Full out party, everyone on the dance floor, no holding back! It good to keep the music universal here, so the family can enjoy it as much as you!

Mains. After a short break, some of the band will come on during mains to start ramping things up again, and maybe get people up on their chairs. Our favourite dinner sing-a-long at the moment is Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield!

After Mains. Similar to after starters, another 20 mins or so of full out party.

Desserts. Short break followed by slightly more energetic dinner tunes, as people rarely want to sit still at this point.

REVIEWS

"Huge, huge thank you to Joe and the rest of the LDN
Showband for making our wedding! The band are true professionals who worked tirelessly in the lead up to deliver the most perfect wedding music for us and I cannot recommend working with them enough.

The band we’re great throughout the day, especially when it came to the specific Jewish elements. They worked closely with our cantor on the music for the ceremony and later in the day did a fantastic job of keeping all our guests involved during the Israeli dancing! We had lots of guests who hadn’t been to a Jewish wedding before and absolutely loved the whole thing!

We had so many compliments on the day and were delighted by the set list, the music and the team. Can't wait to see them again soon!"

'I just wanted to say the BIGGEST THANK YOU to you guys!!! From the Hora to the rapping to the incredible singing, you guys literally rocked it and gave us the wedding of our dreams.

Everyone said it’s the best wedding band they’ve ever seen. Literally can’t thank you enough - just wish we could do it all over again xx'

Sophie, Wedding - Nov 2021

'The hora set was perfectly authentic and really fun. The energy from the band was exactly what was needed. They were as good as any Klezmar Band I have seen. Would highly recommend.'

THE PARTY

First Dance. Any song of your choice. You may also want a Father/Daughter or Mother/Son dance here.

Party Set. 90 mins of uninterrupted party music, tailored to your tastes.

Do I need a DJ? If your wedding breakfast starts late on enough that our live entertainment program covers the whole evening, then possibly not.

However, if we are mapping out the plan for the evening together, and there’s say an hour at the end to fill with a slightly different energy, then DJ or DJ live is a great option to see out the night. Not only does it give you the chance to change the tone of the music at the end of the night, but it also offers a perfect opportunity to cash in on as many requests as you like, that may not have been on the band's list.

With DJ live you'd be exploiting the additional option then of adding roaming sax/percussion/violin to this increase the energy of this moment even more.

Joe - wow wow wow! LDN were honestly WORLD CLASS. The energy, the vocals, the music - everything was amazing. It won’t be a surprise to you that I’m a self confessed perfectionist with high standards - and you surpassed all of my expectations. The band was epic and made the night.

I heard so many people say that this was the best band they’ve ever seen at a function! Thank you so much for everything - you should be very proud of the band you’ve built.

When it came to hiring LDN Entertainment to provide the music to fulfil his spectacular vision, Adam was initially reticent. He'd not seen the band perform at another Jewish event and so it felt like a bit of a risk for him to expect us to fulfil a pretty mega brief. We weren't shy to the task however and our 16 piece showband, combining singers from across many of our acts, frankly brought the house down. We worked on this one with Outrage Events, Ben Tenenblat Catering as well as JP Toastmaster and the suppliers synchronised to nail a chic aesthetic for the evening using classy darker colours, with a mirrored stage, black dancefloor, and black acrylic chairs.

HORA - 20 MIN SET
DINNER - ROTATING BAND
MAIN PARTY - 16 PIECE BAND
AFTER PARTY - DJ LIVE 8 PC

We started the evening with a 10 minute set to bring guests into the room - easing the vibe into the space. The couple entered to 'Let's Get Loud' by Jennifer Lopez in a full fiesta style frenzy before we launched straight into a 20 minute Hora, headed up by our company director, Joe. It was a first time performing the song 'Tel Aviv' by Omer Adam, and it certainly won't be the last as that was a real highlight.

With rotating lineups of musicians during the dinner and high energy bursts on the dancefloor between courses, the band performed almost non-stop from the 6pm guest entrance. Behind the scenes we had a nice spreadsheet to make sure that musicians got a break to recharge at various points whilst others took the spotlight to keep the performance alive throughout the night. We had guests singers Jaz Ellington and Jamie Johnson, booked at the special request of the couple, and they both brought some truly memorable vocal performances to the dinner.

Once we had reached flat-out party mode, all 300 guests stayed the course on the dancefloor for another 90 minutes of full-throttled 16 piece madness followed by an Ibiza centric DJ Live set with all the singers, sax and percussion, the highlight of this being 'Everytime We Touch' by Cascada. It was so nice to hear the newlyweds exclaim at the end of the night that they felt the gamble had paid off and then some!

We really did have the best day, thank you for being so incredible and the loveliest people before and on the day. Everyone has said how brilliant you were and have commented on the energy in the room! X

Music was always going to be truly the central element of what tied the wedding together for Kate and Elliot. They loved what we do on a day-to-day, but they wanted us to explore all of the music styles that defined their relationship as well as those that were special to the families.

The most important thing for Kate was that we could perform some latin style music. We already had our Latino Medley and Bella Ciao, and these were always going to sound excellent with our horns + percussion, but we also needed to add something extra. Step up Joe, who learnt 2 foreign language tunes in Bamboleo and Volare especially for the event. These would prove to be big highlights of the night, filling the dance floor during mains.

We also stepped up to perform a jazz set during starters including the special request 'It Had to Be You' and 'Girl From Ipanema' performed by Chris on sax.

Doubtless the biggest highlight of the night was in our Hip Hop Medley where Elliot fulfilled his childhood dream of performing 'Lose Yourself' on stage with the band absolutely flawlessly. He didn't know we'd bring him up, but we did know he was a big fan, so it had to be done!
